DO THE CHARLESTON
Saturday, June 1th, 12-2pm
Teachers: Bernie (Bernd Chrischilles/ Germany)
Content: This class is about different Charleston steps, variations, style, transitions, entrances and exits.
Background: The Charleston dance, as many other authentic and vernacular jazz dances, is rooted in African dance tradition. It evolved through time, changed depending on who performed it and where, and by how it was presented on stage and film. This dance is at the heart of everything we do in Lindy Hop, and solo jazz dance. It goes without saying that it is beautiful to dig deeper and fully understand it.
Come comfy. Bring your sneakers, a smile and some friends.
